Can you really trust a home DNA test?

With the recent & rapid improvements in DNA technology over the last couple of decades, it is now possible to carry out a DNA test in the comfort of your own home, without the help of a doctor. There are dozens of companies out there who, for less than £100, will send you a testing kit in the post that contains everything you need to do the test yourself. Your kit will contains a set of sterile mouth swabs (imagine an over-sized Q-tip) that are used to gently remove cells from the inside of your cheek. Everybody involved in the test provides a cheek sample that is shipped back to the testing lab for analysis.

These tests are undoubtedly quick, easy and convenient - not to mention cheap. But are they accurate? Will the results that come back be scientifically and legally valid? A new, in-depth article from visbbo.com has the answers - you can read it here.
